Gaming providers

Users connect their own accounts in Web → Settings. There are no server-wide Steam, PSN or Xbox keys. Each user may connect up to 3 accounts per provider. The only provider you configure as an operator is IGDB.

Provider The user provides Where to get it
Steam Steam Web API key + Steam ID (64-bit) steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey. The profile’s Game details must be public.
PlayStation NPSSO token (account ID optional) Sign in at playstation.com, then open https://ca.account.sony.com/api/v1/ssocookie. The npsso value lasts about 2 months.
Xbox unofficial OpenXBL API key (XUID optional) xbl.io/dashboard. It’s a third-party service, so mind its rate limits.

IGDB powers game search when users add sessions manually or review AI drafts. Without it, search only finds games already in your database.

  1. Create an application at dev.twitch.tv/console. Use category Application Integration and OAuth redirect http://localhost.
  2. Copy the Client ID, then generate a Client Secret.
  3. Set them on the API and restart it:
    Polling__Igdb__ClientId=…
    Polling__Igdb__ClientSecret=…
  • Every Polling__IntervalSeconds (default 60), the API checks each active integration: “what’s this account playing?”
  • When a game appears, a session opens. When the game goes away, the session closes. A notification is sent each time.
  • If a provider errors, that one integration backs off exponentially: 5 seconds at first, up to 10 minutes. Retry-After is respected. The user gets a Telegram message about the failure.

Steam game art comes from api-cdn.wemod.com’s public capsule images, so no key is needed. For anything else, fix art by hand in Admin → Games.
